3.3.10 Rate Mode
Refer to Figure 3.3. To enter Rate mode, press the RATE softkey on the top
level menu. Pressing RATE once activates the joystick; pressing RATE again
allows entering a value from the keypad. Only the axis whose softkey is
pressed enters Rate mode; the other axes can be in other modes. Press the
RATE softkey twice and enter the desired rate in degrees per second on the
numeric keypad and press ENT. Rate commands can also be entered with the
joystick. Press the RATE softkey once and then press and hold the button on
the end of the joystick and move the stick to enter a command.
3.3.11 Track Mode
Refer to Figure 3.3. To enable or disable tracking, press the TRACK softkey
on the top level menu. If autotracking is available, track is enabled for the
axis whose softkey is pressed; the other axes can be in other modes. If the
controller is configured for step tracking, both axes will enter Steptrack
mode.
3.3.12 Menus
Refer to Figure 3.3. To access the lower level menus for an axis, press the
MENUS softkey on its respective top level menu. The subordinate level menu
is displayed.
3.3.13 Softkey Axis Assignment
Each of the two groups of softkeys can be assigned to only one axis at a time.
The softkey axis assignment must be changed to access the third axis. Figure
3.4 shows the softkey menu choices that assign a group of softkeys to another
axis.
