Failure to remove power from the digital controller prior to
replacing components could result in equipment damage.
NOTE
It is not necessary to remove the chassis cover to remove the
printed wiring boards.
a) Identify board by connector number on rear panel.
b) Disconnect connectors from rear panel of board to be replaced.
c) Loosen two captive screws securing board to card cage.
d) Carefully pull board by extractor handles to remove board from card cage
guide rails.
5.6.4 Servo, Synchro/resolver, ORI, Or Autotrack Board Installation
a) Note proper location of each board in the card cage. Holding board by
extractor handles, insert board into slots in the card cage guide rails.
Carefully push the extractor handles until board connector is seated in
backplane connector.
b) Tighten two captive screws to secure board to card cage.
c) Attach appropriate connectors to rear panel of board.
5.6.5 Resolver Reference Board Removal
High voltages are used in the operation of this equipment.
Prior to working on the equipment ensure that all electrical
power is off. Failure to observe this warning may result in
serious injury or death.
a) Remove cover from chassis (refer to paragraph 5.6.2).
b) Remove wire harness connectors (qty 2) from board edge connectors.
c) From underneath chassis, remove four screws and lockwashers securing
board to bottom panel.
