Chapter 3 - Operation

a) With top level menu displayed, press MENUS from the softkey group to

reassign.

b) Press AXIS. The three axis choices are displayed.

c) Press softkey for desired axis, AZ or EL, or press RETURN to return to

top level menu.

d) Selected axis is assigned to softkey group.

3.3.14 Secondary Modes

Refer to Figure 3.5. Secondary axis modes include Scan, Rate and Stow.
Standby mode is duplicated on this menu for safety and convenience. These
modes appear at this menu level because they are used less frequently than
the primary modes.

a) To access secondary modes, first press MENUS from the top level menu.

b) Press MODE. The secondary modes menu is displayed.

c) Refer to paragraphs 3.3.14.1 through 3.3.14.4 for a description of the

secondary modes.

3.3.14.1 Standby Mode

Refer to Figure 3.5. This mode is duplicated in the top level and secondary
level mode menus. To enter Standby mode, press the STANDBY softkey. In
Standby, power is applied to the axis, but the drive motor is disabled and the
brakes are set.

In an emergency situation, pressing the STOP key on the numeric keypad
places all axes in Standby mode.
