3.3.1  Liquid Crystal Display Indicators 

The liquid crystal display (LCD) displays most of the digital controller’s 
controls and indicators. The ten keys (five on either side) of the LCD are 
referred to as softkeys, because their function changes according to software 
control. The current function of the key is displayed beside it on the LCD. 
Figure 3.2 illustrates and describes the LCD’s controls and indicators. 

NOTE 

LCD indicators are displayed in reverse video (light text on 
dark background) when the item is active. For example, when 
POSITION is in normal video and AUTOTRACK is in reverse 
video under the axis angle displays, the system is autotracking 
a target with the Position Mode selected as backup.
