Chapter 4 - Principles of Operation

tracking receiver. The autotrack board provides the scan-controlled switching
of the feed elements and derives tracking error from the demodulation of the
tracking video signal.

Figures 4.1 and 4.2 provide block diagrams of the Series 3860 Digital
Controller. Figure 4.1 illustrates the single-chassis configuration, figure 4.2
illustrates the two-chassis configuration. Both configurations use the same
functional modules in different physical arrangement to implement the
control system.
