Chapter 3 - Operation 

remote switch closures. CMND lines are closed when the menu item is 
shown in reverse video (a dark background with light characters). 

a)  With top level menu displayed, press MENUS. 

b)  Press CONTRL. Control menu is displayed. 

c)  Press SYSTEM. Status and command menu is displayed. 

d)  Press STAT 1, STAT 2, CMND 1 or CMND 2, as desired. 

e)  Refer to Appendix B for detailed information on status and command 

softkey selections. Make selections as desired. 

3.4 Remote operation 

During remote operation, commands are entered from a remote computer 
(referred to as the host) and are sent to the digital controller over a serial (RS-
232 or RS-422) or parallel (IEEE-488) interface. Refer to paragraph 3.3.16.1 for 
the procedure to enter remote operation mode. 

Refer to Appendix A for detailed information on remote interface commands.
