Port Configuration for Non-Keypanel Usage
The following are items that you may want to configure in an intercom port when connecting non-keypanel devices.
Scroll Enable Settings
Scroll enable check boxes appear in the setup views for intercom ports, party lines, IFB's, Special Lists, GPI Outputs,
UPL Resources, and ISO's. The Scroll Enable check boxes controls who can view destinations in scroll lists and
assign those destinations to keypanel keys. When you are using AZedit within your own intercom system, you always
have access to the complete scroll lists.
By default, any keypanel operator can assign keypanel keys to talk or listen to intercom ports. You may want to make
some or all intercom ports inaccessible for key assignment, including intercom ports where there are no keypanels
connected.
To enable scroll enable, do the following:
1. On the Keypanels / Ports screen, select Local, Trunk, ADAMedit, and/or LCP-102 check box.
The check boxes will highlight with yellow to distinguish the changes made.
Gain Settings
There may be occasions where you need to adjust the listen gain for a non-keypanel devise that is listening to a party
line or to some specific intercom port. For example, a belt pack operator may want to monitor a party line, but at a
lower level than the normal intercom volume. Or, a belt pack operator may want to listen to the background music
coming from some intercom input port, but at a reduced level.
To make gain adjustments, do the following:
1. On the Keypanels / Ports screen, click the gain button.
The Gain Setup for GPI Output screen appears.
2. Make changes to the gain settings, if necessary.
3. Click OK.
The Gain Setup for GPI Output screen closes.
