Mode Pane
The
Mode Pane
indicates the current operating mode as follows:
•
FILE
Indicates that the computer is not communicating with the intercom system. In this mode, you can
create new setup files, and also open and edit existing setup files. This mode is recommended if you are
making many changes and want to save your file to disk periodically, but do not need to immediately
download the changes to the intercom system.
•
ONLINE
Indicates that the computer is communicating with the intercom system, but is not in SERVER
mode. This means that you can make changes to the intercom configuration, or manually send new setup
files to the intercom system. Note: if you are making many changes to an intercom setup file and want to
save it periodically, you will be able to do this much more quickly in FILE mode.
•
SERVER
Indicates that the computer is online and operating in SERVER mode. This means that you can
view the current intercom system configuration, as well as intercom activity, but you cannot make any
changes.
