7.18.3 AP/FD Use on CANPA Approaches
Automatic flight is the preferred method of flying non-precision approaches. If this isnot possible
(ie. AP unserviceable) use of the flight director is recommended.
When on an intercept heading and cleared for the approach, selectAPR and observe that the
annunciation mode is armed (for VORapproaches).
