5.4 Taxi Flow Items
During the taxi, the FO must hold the control yoke in the neutral position while the Captain taxies
the aircraft. While taxiing the aircraft, the Captain calls for each of the various “TAXI ITEMS”, and
the FO completes them as per the sequence below.
During taxithe crew member sitting on the left seat (usually the Captain) is steering the aircraft
therefore all attention is outside the aircraft, meanwhile the crew member sitting on the right seat
(usually the FO) is monitoring engine parameters, instruments and checking the controls.
The Captain will call for the appropriate items and the FO will carry out the actions as explained below.
