Using a DDI Plan to Route calls to the Department
External calls to a Department can be routed via a DDI entry. (Please refer to the Working with DDI Plans
from page 195 for further details.)

In Manager select DDI Plans

Select the DDI Plan required

Select Add DDI Entry

Select the new DDI Entry

In the Number Match field enter the DDI number
to be used

From the Bearer Capability list box select Voice

In the Translate To field enter the extension
number or name of the Department

Select Update or Apply when ready.
Pick up a Department call via a Dial Plan entry
A Dial Plan entry can be created similar to this example
that will allow Users to pick up the longest waiting call
ringing for a Department.
The Extension number or Department Name can be used
in the Translate To field.
Using an Out of Office Message
When all members of a Department are out of the office, in a meeting for example, they may wish to
inform internal callers of their whereabouts. An Out of Office message can be configured, such as
“
In
meeting until 4.30 pm
”, and this will be displayed on the caller’s
PCS 50, 60, 100, 410/400, PCS 55x,
56x/57x/58x.
This feature can be set up as follows:

In Manager select Departments

From the Departments list select the Department required

Select the General page

From the Out of Office list box select the mode required, eg In Meeting.

In the Out of Office Message field enter the text to appear with the above selection, eg until
4.30 pm.
