Finding Second Mounting Track Assembly Location
The following steps establish the position of the second Mounting Track Assembly on the exact opposite
side of the pipe.

Place a straight edge on top of the Reference Mounting Track Assembly (Figure 8). Draw a
horizontal line out from the end of the assembly. (This line establishes a reference relative to the
pipe axis.) The line will be used to align the Mylar Mounting Guide and the second Mounting Track
Assembly to the Reference Mounting Track.

Install the second Mounting Track Assembly locating it on the same side as the Reference Mounting
Track Assembly (Figure 9). Do not fully tighten the securing straps at this time.

Acquire the “Number Index” from the flowmeter For Direct Mode mounting. Install the Spacing
Strip on the Reference Mounting Track index screw (Figure 10). Use the Spacing Strip and Number
Index value to space the transducers at the correct distance from each other. Remove Spacing
Strip.
NOTE: For small Number Indices, the Mounting Guide must be placed on the outside edge of
the second Mounting Track Assembly to allow for correct transducer positioning (see
diagram below).
