2. As the meter begins going through the drives, press <ENTER> again. A typical menu screen ap-

pears as shown below (i.e., only when using a PC via the RS-232 port) and indicates the current
ALC (e.g., 50). Steps 1 and 2 above must be completed before the meter scans through all the
drives, or selection of the detection mode and the Force Transmit function must be initiated again.

NOTE: The 1020 flowmeter does not display the Force Transmit data display line.

This ALC number indicates the current receive signal strength and can be used for further diagnos-
tic purposes.
