A Note on Multiple Select Option Lists
Certain option lists allow you to make more than one selection. For example, the [Datalogger Data]
option list allows you to select any or all of the available data items for your reports. As previously
described, you can use and to move the cursor through the list. However, when you use
to
select an item, the cursor moves to the next item in the option list. If you use to return to the item that
you selected, you will see that an asterisk (
*
) appears next to that item to show that it is selected.
Unlike option lists that offer a single selection, the cursor remains within the option list so that you can
make other selections. To deselect a previously selected item, scroll to that item (marked by an aster-
isk) and then use
.
After selecting all the desired items, use to leave a multiple select option list.
How To Enter Numeric Data
This section shows how to edit a numeric menu cell. The following example uses the [Pipe OD] menu
cell. The left-hand figure on the next page shows the [Pipe OD] menu cell. Notice that the second line
shows the current outer diameter value: [0.500]. (The “greater than” symbol placed before the param-
eter indicates that it is the current selection.) This example explains how to change the pipe outer
diameter to 4.500.

Press the symbol. Note that the selection changes to [Water 50C/86F]. This is the next item on
the [Select Liquid] option list. Keeping the key pressed activates an auto-repeat function to scroll
the list automatically. Note that every key pressed item changes to another liquid on list (see para-
graph 6.3 for the [Select Liquid] option list). Note that holding down on either the <Up or Down
Arrow> will cause the menu to scroll up or down (Auto Repeat Feature).

Stop pressing when the screen shows [Diesel Fuel]. Press the Enter switch. This replaces the
parameter [Water 20C/68F] with [Diesel Fuel]. Note that the screen changes to the menu cell
[Estimated Vs ] and that the second line shows the value: [1377]. This is the estimated sonic
velocity (Vs) of the liquid, Diesel Fuel. If you want to you can use to return to the [Select Liquid]
to verify that the menu cell shows the new liquid selection.
Press ENTER Key
to select Diesel
Fuel.
After selecting [Diesel Fuel] the
menu moves to the next cell.
