2.7.6 INTRODUCTION TO THE 1020 MENU SCREENS
This section introduces the System 1020 Installation Menu as it appears on a communication pro-
gram. The Installation Menu consists of sub-menus, each providing individual menu locations (
menu
cells ) that store site data. For convenience, this manual refers to sub-menus simply as menus (e.g.,
the Pipe Data Menu shown below). Note that the screen contains a left-hand column and a right-hand
column. The left-hand column shows the menu cells and the right-hand column shows the current
data stored in the adjacent menu cell.

EXPLANATIONS OF INSTALLATION MENU CALLOUTS
Current Selected Meter Type [Site] indicates Single Channel Flowmeter operating mode selected.
Menu Prompt Line When you select a menu cell, a reverse text prompt appears on
the top of the screen to explain the function of the cell.
Selected Channel The [1] shows that measurement Channel 1 is currently selected.
Currently Selected Menu Cell Selecting a menu cell causes it to highlight in the right-hand col-
umn.
Highlighted Data The right-hand column shows the current value highlighted. Press-
ing the <Right Arrow> provides access to an option list or numeric
field, where you can change the current value.
Menu Cell A menu cell is an individual location within a menu (in this case
Pipe data) that stores data (either a numeric entry or a list selec-
tion).
Menu Cell Data The right-hand column shows the current value stored by the left-
hand column menu cell. The Pipe Data menu includes option list
items and numeric entries.
Current Selected Menu The highlighted bar at the bottom of the screen shows the name of
the menu that you accessed (e.g., Pipe Data).
Site indicates that this screen is form a
single channel meter. A dual channel mode
shows either channel 1 or channel 2
