7.3 - Reagents preparation

▪

Only use the reagent containers which are supplied with the Starrsed RS.

▪

To open the bulk reagent packages, remove the perforated flap from the cardboard box, pull the

opening out of the box and fit the taps.

1. Fill up the containers with the reagents.
2. Place the reagent containers.
3. Replace screw caps with level sensors.

If long level sensors are used:

Note:

Only use the reagent containers as the ones which come with the Starrsed RS.

1. If installed: remove the bottle container connections.
2. Connect level sensor assemblies on the level sensor block. Use the cable clips for guiding the electric

cables.

3. Remove the cubitainer screw caps and pull the necks of the bottle packs out of the cardboard box.
4. Install the level sensors and spacers.
5. Add new reagent information in the software.

WARNING:

Wrongly placed pickup tubes causes incorrect results or instrument malfunction.

Make sure to place the appropriate level sensors in the cubitainers by checking the colored

labels/colored tubes matching the color codes on the cubitainers.

The sensors and the reagents have the following color codes:
