PPS In

Provides a PPS signal from an external GPS device for precise synchronization during
data logging

Trigger In

Provides an external trigger for data recording.

RS232 GPS

2-port, 9-pin Sub-D connector for a GPS receiver providing NMEA protocol data. The
NMEA protocol data is displayed and stored with the recorded data.

LAN

Through the LAN connection (Fast Ethernet), all functions of the R&S

 

EVSG1000 can

be remotely operated. The LAN connection can also be used to stream measurement
data. IP Addresses and subnet mask are defined in the setup menu. The data transfer
rate is 100 Mbit/s.

Li-Ion Battery Pack

With the Li-Ion battery pack (options (R&S

 

EVSG-B2 and R&S

 

EVSG-B3), the

R&S

 

EVSG1000 can be operated independently of an AC or DC power supply.

The charging circuit is protected by an overload protection and an overheating protec-
tion.

Generally, the internal battery pack can be charged during operation with the power
supply or with an external voltage supply providing more than

ever, that charging can take longer when the instrument is in use.

The weather protection bag has a transparent cover that allows the
R&S

 

EVSG1000 to be used in the field even under adverse weather conditions.

The front pocket can be used for transporting accessories such as the external
power supply.
