RPM-dependent parameters
The RPM is required as an additional parameter in the
following measurements:
• Shock pulse measurement ->
for the normalization of carpet and maximum value
• FFT spectrum ->
for the display of RPM-dependent (damage) frequencies
in OMNITREND
So that the RPM does not always need to be recorded
before each of these measurements, VIBSCANNER together
with OMNITREND provides the following functions for the
route mode:
• Train speed
• Production line speed
Train speed
For a single machine train (e.g. motor-gear-pump), a
reference RPM is always recorded first. The RPM value is
then converted for all measurement locations on the
machine train and saved together with the results of the
measurements listed above. The conversion factors are
defined in OMNITREND and take into account the different
RPM relations in the machine train (e.g. in gearing).
Reference RPM, 1500 rpm
Gear spectrum
(OUT), 1000 rpm
Motor spectrum, 1500 rpm
Shock pulse (roller bearing),
1000 rpm
*You can measure the speed
on-site or enter it manually. To
enter it manually, select a
sensor of the ‘Manual Entry’
type in OMNITREND.
Gear ratio = 3:2
