VIBSCANNER 11.2010
61
R
Transducer
External RPM transducers
... are required for
- externally triggered vibration measurements
- measurement locations that are difficult to access
- 1-/ 2-plane balancing
- Orbit and Phase measurement
Connect the external RPM transducer (VIB 6.631) to the
yellow channel with the supplied cable (VIB 5.432-2,9).
You can adjust the settling time of the sensor in the
VIBSCANNER setup (page 21).
Sensor detection is not functional on this port.
Note
Mounting
• Mount the trigger sensor with the trigger bracket (VIB
6.632) while the machine is at a standstill.
• Apply a reflective mark to the shaft (reflective tape - VIB
3.306).
• Point the sensor optics toward the mark on the shaft. To
adjust the sensor, the ball joint can be fixed in virtually
any position. The maximum measurement distance for
the trigger sensor (VIB 6.630) is 2 meters.
• As far as possible, the laser beam should be perpendicu-
lar to the shaft surface and shaft axis. If the machine
shafts are very shiny (polished), the trigger sensor
should be mounted at an angle of less than approx. 10°-
15° to the perpendicular.
Observe the safety instructions in the technical data
sheet 0 0594 0223.
