Troubleshooting

If this doesn’t help, clear the current action by pressing the
joystick.
If this doesn’t help, try to reset the device.
If the problem persists, return the device for repair.

• Symptom: The following message appears on the display:

Abort

Meaning:
A serious error occurred while accessing the internal
VIBSCANNER hard disc.

What to do:
Retry the current action by pressing the left button (ESC
key). If this doesn’t help, try to abort by pressing the right
button (function key). If this doesn’t help, clear the current
action by pressing the joystick. If this doesn’t help, try to
reset the device.

If the problem persists, return the device for repair.

How to set the device into boot mode

• Connect the battery charger to the device and to the

mains.

• Press all three buttons (the left key, the right key and the

joystick) for at least 5 seconds.

• Release the joystick, but keep the left and right button

pressed.

• After 1 second, release the left and right button. The

blue LED should now flash slowly.

To leave the boot mode, reset the device.

How to reset the device

• Press both the keys and the joystick at the same time for

approx. 5 seconds.

• Release the keys and the joystick to switch the instru-

ment on again.
