Troubleshooting

• Symptom: The following message appears on the display:

** Filesystem Error **

Format

Abort

Meaning:
A serious error occurred while accessing the internal
VIBSCANNER hard disc.

What to do:
Try to abort the current action by pressing the right button
(function key).
If this doesn’t help, try to reset the device.
If this doesn’t help, try to format the VIBSCANNER hard
disc by pressing the left button (ESC key). Formatting the
hard disc may take a few minutes.
If the format is successful, all files on the VIBSCANNER are
deleted. In order to restore these files, use the VIBSCAN-
NER UpdateTool and download the files by choosing the
‘Filetransfer’ button in step 4. Make sure that you down-
load the files from the same firmware version as that
already on the VIBSCANNER.
If the format is not successful, return the device for repair.
