Machine specific measurement tasks
A reliable assessment of the vibration status of a machine
can be carried out with the aid of suitable variables. It has
been shown that - independent of the machine type and
RPM range - only certain vibration values can be used.
For example, the shock pulse value provides satisfactory
results for high-speed and medium high-speed running
bearings, but, for slow-speed bearings (n<120 min
-1
), the
vibration acceleration should be recorded.
For these cases VIBSCANNER has adapted measurement
tasks ready that are located in the 2nd selection screen.
Each measurement icon on the screen is assigned a ma-
chine type (top line) and an RPM range (left column).
Click on the screen symbol at the top left until selection
screen

For a detailed description of the measurement task,
select the relevant icon and click on ‘Help’ in the menu.
To display the measurement tasks for low RPM ranges,
move the cursor across the lower edge of the window.
