14.2.2 Checking the Connection by Using I/O Monitor
This feature allows you to check for the proper connection by monitoring the output/input ports on the
monitor screen.
Forcible Outputting to the Output Ports
1. Select "INFO." > "Setting Help" > "I/O Monitor" from the menu bar.
2. Highlight the name of the signal for forcible output and press the ENTER key.
After a circle in white is added in the cell under the signal name, the signal is forcibly output. Check the
output status with the external device.
3. Press the ENTER key again while the name of the signal you want to reset is highlighted.
The circle in white is erased and the signal is reset. Check the output status with the external device.
Monitoring the Input Port
1. Select "INFO." > "Setting Help" > "I/O Monitor" from the menu bar.
2. Input a signal from the external device.
A circle in white is added in the cell under the input signal name. Check for the correct signal input.
Even if you press the C key to cancel the I/O monitor while the signal is forcibly output from the
AX40, no error will be occurred.
