6.21.2 Registrating a Base Position
The current object position can be registered as a base position in the following way. Before registering
the base position, check to make sure that the edges were detected by setting the horizontal/vertical
areas and performing a testing. When a live image is displayed, perform a test after importing a new
image. When a memory image is displayed, perform a test using the memory image currently displayed
without importing any images.
Registration Procedure:
1. Highlight the "Base Position" tab.
The cursor moves to "Base Position".
2. Press the ENTER key.
When the dialog message "Register the base position?" is displayed, choose "YES" to continue.
If the object was detected and the base position was registered, the following data will appear.
In the Base Position tab:
Corr.: Matching level of the detected image:
Adj. X: 0.0
Adj. Y: 0.0
Adj. Theta: 0.0
Base Position X: Coordinate X of output points of the currently detected image
Base Position Y: Coordinate Y of output points of the currently detected image
Base Pos. Theta: Angle of the current detected image
In the Message Area:
Judgement: OK
Corr.: Matching level of the currently detected image
Adj. XX: 0.0
Adj. Y: 0.0
Adj. Theta: 0.0
If the following message appears, it means horizontal and vertical edges were not detected. Check the
template image, size of search area and correlation minimum value.
E0042 Base position cannot be detected.
6.21.3 What To Do If You Faced a Trouble
Judgement result is always NG.
The following causes may be occurred.
• An object cannot be detected.
Recheck and reconsider the area size and the sequence setting values.
• No base position is registered.
The error code "E0049" may be displayed.
The device cannot work properly because any base position is not registered. Note that if you perform the
operations listed below after registering a base position, you need to register the base position again.
• Position Adjustment referring to adjustment amount cannot detect the object.
If Position Adjustment is assigned to the numbers except "0", the adjustment amount of Position
Adjustment or Rotation Adjustment assigned to the number will be referred. If the Position Adjustment or
Rotation Adjustment checkers cannot detect the object, it cannot refer the adjustments, does not function
properly, resulting in "NG" judgement
