The security clean-up procedure
The security clean-up procedure
Introduction
Océ advises to do a security clean-up of your system regularly. The security
procedure cleans your system of all confidential data that was not shred.
How to do a security clean-up
1.
Close all input channels to prevent new jobs come to the Océ Smart Imager from the
network.
2.
Empty all system queues, the 'Mailbox', the 'Queue' and the 'Spool queue'.
3.
Shut down the system in a controlled way.
Note:
If the system does not shut down in a controlled way, you must do the entire
procedure again.
4.
Restart the system.
Now the swap file that can contain confidential information is shred.
5.
After the system is restarted and operational again, all confidential information is
safely removed. You can now shut down the system.
