Norstar VoIP Gateway Configuration Guide
Configuring Call Forwarding
The VoIP Gateway allows you to forward incoming calls based on the VoIP Gateway port to which
the call is routed.
This feature uses H.450 protocol and should only be considered for networks that only use Norstar
VoIP Gateways. H.450 protocol is not supported on other Nortel Networks endpoints such as
Business Communications Manager and Meridian1 IPT.
To configure Call Forwarding:

Access the web interface.

Click the Protocol Management button.

Click the Call Forward tab.
The Call Forward Table screen appears.

Configure the Call Forward parameters for each port according to the table below.

Parameter
Description
Forward Type
Select Immediate if you want to forward any incoming call to the Phone number specified.
This option is equivalent to the Norstar feature Call Forward All Calls (CFAC).
Select Busy if you want to forward incoming calls when the VoIP Gateway port is busy.
This option is equivalent to the Norstar feature Call Forward on Busy (CFB).
Select No reply if you want to forward incoming calls that are not answered with the time
specified in the Time for No Reply Forward box.
This option is equivalent to the Norstar feature Call Forward No Answer (CFNA).
Forward to Phone
Number
Enter the telephone number to which the call is forwarded.
Time for No Reply
Forward
If you have set the Forward Type for this port to no reply, enter the number of seconds the
VoIP Gateway waits before forwarding the call to the phone number specified.
