Norstar VoIP Gateway Configuration Guide
Loading a configuration file

Ensure the file or files you want to load are in a folder on the computer you are using to access
the web interface.

Access the web interface.

Click the Software Upgrade button.

Click the HTTP Download tab.
The HTTP Download screen appears.

Click the Browse button that is in the box for the type of file you want to load.

Navigate to the folder that contains the file you want to load.

Click the file and click the Open button.
The filename and path of the file appears in the box beside the Browse button.

Click the Send File button that is beside the box that contains the filename of the file you want
to load.

Repeat steps 5 to 8 for each file you want to load.

To apply the changes, you must reset the VoIP Gateway. To reset the VoIP Gateway:

Click the Reset button.

Click the Restart button.
A confirmation dialog box appears.

Click the OK button.
Backing up the VoIP Gateway configuration
Backing up the VoIP Gateway configuration is a method of protecting your VoIP Gateway
programming. When you back up VoIP Gateway, you make a copy the VoIP Gateway
configuration and store it in a directory on your computer. If your VoIP Gateway must be replaced
or loses its programming, you can restore this back up information to your VoIP Gateway.
To back up the VoIP Gateway configuration:

Access the web interface.

Click the Advanced Configuration button.

Click the Configuration File tab.
The Configuration File screen appears

Click the Get INI FILE button.
Note:
Nortel Networks recommends that you perform a back up after you have completed
your initial programming. We also recommend that you back up after you have made any
significant configuration change.
