Setting up the VoIP Gateway to use a RAD over VoIP trunks
The RAD acts as a V.32 Modem and connects using a TCM port.
Connections required for the RAD

On the remote Norstar, assign the RAD to an auto answer line that is connected to the VoIP
Gateway.

On the control Norstar, connect the PC to one of the VoIP Gateway channels.

Configuring the VoIP Gateway

If are using a proprietary VoIP Gateway to VoIP Gateway method:
a
On the Channel Settings screen, set the V32 Modem Transport Type parameter to
Bypass.

On the Channel Settings screen, set the Fax/Modem Bypass Coder Type parameter to
G711.
This is a proprietary means of switching to the G.711 codec when the VoIP Gateway
detects modem tone. This method is not compatible with Business Communication
Manager.
If you are using a standards based method:
a
On the Channel Settings screen, set the V32 Modem Transport Type parameter to
Transparent.
b
On the H.323 Protocol Definition screen, set 1st Coder parameter to G.711.
