In the Enable SysLog box, select Yes.

To apply the changes, you must reset the VoIP Gateway. To reset the VoIP Gateway:
a Click the Reset button.
b Click the Restart button.
A confirmation dialog box appears.

Troubleshooting
General
If there is a problem, check the following resources:
• The Channel Status pages on the web interface.
• Log messages of VoIP Gateway in HyperTerminal screen.
• Log messages in SysLog server.
Possible common problems
Possible common problems are described in Table 22 .

VoIP Gateway does not turn on
or LEDs unlit • Check AC power source
Unable to open Web Browser for
initial setting of IP address PING the VoIP Gateway at the expected IP address. If no response,
• Ensure the data network connection is correct and check that the browser is
being used correctly.
• Check the cables.
• Check if default gateway can reach the IP of the VoIP Gateway.
• Check if the VoIP Gateway has the correct IP (You can check this using the
RS-232 terminal).
• Check the validity of IP address, subnet and default gateway.
If default gateway is not used, enter 0.0.0.0
Press the Restart button on the front of the VoIP Gateway to reset IP address to
the factory default.
Unable to open Web Browser
after setting IP address Same as above.
No communication from VoIP
Gateway to Norstar Check the connection of Norstar trunks to VoIP Gateway.
Check the Norstar trunk programming.
Use the web interface to ensure the VoIP Gateway channels are enabled.
