If you want to set the channel for fax only, edit the INI file to set ChannelToFax# = 1, where
# is the number of the channel.
If you want to use the channel for fax and voice, leave the INI file parameter at its default
value, which is Fax or Voice, and use the detection algorithm.
4 On the H.323 Protocol Definition screen, set the Connection Mode parameter to Fast Start.
5 Do not use the settings for fax relay redundancy, as these are proprietary methods.

If there are high retransmission problems due to high bit error IP connections, disable ECM
(Error Correction Mode) by setting the Fax Relay ECM Enable parameter to Disable. This
parameter is on the Channels Settings screen.
Setting up the dialing plan on the VoIP Gateway
1 Set the fax channel to its own hunt group.
2 Set up a route for the Fax phone number to its own IP address.
3 Setup the destination route for the Fax phone number to the fax Hunt Group.

If you are using a Gatekeeper, make sure the Fax number is part of the registration table.
