Enter a temperature setpoint that is at least 12°C below the current value.
The controller will respond to the call for cooling by opening solenoid
valve TY-5K, filling the jacket with water. temperature control mode to
OFF
.

Sterilization Safety Features
The heater has a safety switch that will automatically turn the heater off at
543.3ºC (650ºF).
During the sterilization cycle, if the pressure in the vessel or vessel jacket
increases, the rupture disk is set to go off at 40 PSIG and the safety release
valve on the vessel jacket is set to go off at 50 PSIG.

Starting a Sterilization Sequence
1.
At the touchscreen, set the Temperature control loop for the desired
operating temperature after sterilization. Turn the Temperature control
loop
ON
by setting the temperature control loop to
AUTO
control mode.
2.
Set the sparge gas flow rate at the desired setpoint for operation after
sterilization. The
GasFlo
control loop should be set to the
AUTO
control
mode.

:
If you are using Gas Mixing, the O
2
loop must be in the O2ENRH mode.

Ensure all headplate ports and upper side-entry ports are closed. All ports
should either have a piece of equipment inserted or be plugged. All clamps
on ports should be secure.
4.
Set the agitation rate at the touchscreen. During sterilization, Agitation
control loop should be set to a rate of 150 - 300 RPM. Turn on the
Agitation control loop by putting the loop in
AUTO
control.
5.
Press the
Sterilize
button to open the
STERILIZATION
screen (
see Figure
22, repeated on the following page for easy reference
).
