LD Current Limit Setting Screen
a. LD CURR Limit
Has the same function as the LD current limit on the Reset screen.
NOTES:

When you want to raise the LD current limit, be sure to do this on the System set screen.
If the LD current limit is set on the Reset screen, the LD total hour counter will also be
reset.

Normally, the LD current limit is increased 1 A for every 1000 hours of LD emission. If
good marking cannot be obtained even if the current is raised 2 to 3 A within 1000 hours,
the protective glass may be dirty. See
Chapter 12, Maintenance for cleaning instructions.

b. LD CURR Offset
When you want to raise the LD current while maintaining lower laser output power, the
LD
CURR Offset
value may be changed. This can be useful when adjusting the LD current for
every registered character (because you don’t need to change each current value).
Example: If the LD current for Schedule 1 is set to 25 A and the LD current for
Schedule 2 is set to 20 A, but the LD current offset is set to 110%, the following LD
currents will be present:
Schedule 1: 25 A×1.10 = 27.5 A
Schedule 2: 20 A×1.10 = 22 A
