1: SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

WARNING
Install an EMERGENCY STOP Switch (when using remote operations).
Connect an EMERGENCY STOP switch to the Laser Marker’s EXT. I/O connector. Install
the switch at the front of the work area at the height of the Operator’s elbow and within easy
reach (2-3 feet) as shown below.
Operation Unit.
When the Operator is more than 0.6 meters away from the laser, use the operation unit to
control the laser functions. Install the operation unit in front of the work area at the height of
the Operator’s elbow and within easy reach (2-3 feet) as shown below.
NEVER reach across the marking area in order to reach the Emergency Stop Switch.
The laser beam may severely burn your skin.
Remote Interlock.
When installing a laser safety cover around the head unit, use the remote interlock connector
so that the laser output will turn off when the cover is opened. Connect enough interlocks to
make the work area safe. All interlocks should be connected in series.
