Head-Unit Mounting Base
The mounting tabs are used to secure the Head Unit to a stable work area. The Head Unit is
secured with four screws.

Electronic Unit
The electrical units contain the circuitry used to control the marking and oscillator functions.

Safety Interlock Switches
When the head cover is removed, the LD turns OFF. This interlock may be defeated by pulling
up on each switch until it locks in the UP position. The
only
time these interlocks should be
defeated is when you perform maintenance on the Head Unit.

Fan
Used to draw the heat from the head unit to the exterior.

Y-axis Galvanoscanner
This driver contains the Y-axis directional galvanometer scanner.

X-axis Galvanoscanner
This driver contains the X-axis directional galvanometer scanner.

Lens
Condenses (focuses) the laser beam in the marking area. This lens is designed so that the
scanning focal distance is always constant with respect to the rotation angle of the mirror (i.e.
constant working distance).
10.
LD Lamp
Lights up (green) when the LD is turned ON.
11.
SHUTTER Lamp
Lights up (yellow) when the Main Safety Shutter is open.
12.
Fiber Interlock
Turns off the Marker when the fiber is removed.
