ASCII code
(symbol, alphanumeric)
1-byte code from 0x20 to 0x7F
Half-size Katakana 1-byte code from 0xA1 to 0xDF
Kanji
2-byte Shift JIS code starting with a code from
0x80 to 0x9F or from 0xE0 to 0xFF
NOTE: Normally, a comma is not expressed, but is treated as a special character used to
separate data values. To express a comma itself, attach a special character ‘\’ to
the front of the data. This allows all characters after the ‘\’ to be treated as data
and not separate data values. To set ‘\,’ is to specify a character ‘,’.
To express ‘\’, set ‘\\’.
NOTE: If not specified, the maximum length of a character string is 40 bytes.
