3. Edge Control Screen
When the mirror is positioned at the start position of a mark or at the end position of a mark, the
marking result may appear “thinner” than the rest of the mark. This result can be avoided by
keeping the mirrors moving while marking.
Normally the mirrors move from position

as shown on the left.
Using this method, the mirror changes
direction at the start point and the end point.
In edge control, the mirror is positioned
beyond the start and end points and move
from position
c to position d as shown on
the left. When the mirrors are positioned
beyond the start and end points, the marker
will not produce an output outside the
marking range.
a. Edge control
ON Performs edge control.
OFF
Does not perform edge control.
b. Start Adjust
Sets the mirror position (distance) beyond the starting point.
c. End Adjust
Sets the mirror position (distance) after the end point.
