5.8 ALARM EXTENSION
The WCM unit has a dry contact change over relay for connection of an external alarm
monitoring system. In the event that an external alarm bell, or audible warning device is
connected it is highly desirable to be able to silence the alarm once the alarm has been
acknowledged. The alarm extension menu performs this function

5.8.1 Clear Alarm Outputs
When the clear alarm output menu item is selected, all currently active alarms will be
cleared and the relay will deactivate. Only new alarm conditions will now restart the relay
indication.
The clear alarm output delay displays a list of all currently active alarms which will be
cancelled by this action as shown below;

5.8.2 Alarm Actions
For each alarm on each port, it may be selectively configured as a Major Alarm, Minor
Alarm or none. Major Alarms will activate the major alarm relay, while minor alarms will
activate the minor alarm relay. Alarms set to none will not activate the relays.
