5.3.1.6.3.1 Mode
The port rate limiting may either operate at priority level or on a port basis.
5.3.1.6.3.2 Limiting
At each priority level, the rate limit policing may be enabled or disabled. When disabled,
ingress frames at this priority are not limited.
When rate limiting is enabled, ingress frames of this priority are limited according to the
CIR/CBS parameters.
5.3.1.6.3.3 CIR
The CIR (Committed Information Rate) defines the bandwidth limit to be applied. The CIR
bandwidth defines a bit rate in bits per second according to the mode configured in the
operating mode menu.
The CIR value 50000000 may be entered in several ways as shown
