5.4 V.24 Setup
The V.24 setup menu configures the local terminal interface for the WCM device. The
menu is shown below:

5.4.1 Usage
When a service provider installs a unit on a customer site, it may be desirable to prevent
local management access to the device. The WCM offers the option of disabling the
terminal interface preventing access.
Options:
Console
Normal terminal interface available
Disabled
Terminal port disabled.
When the console is disabled, any attempt to access the WCM unit via the terminal port
will receive the following prompt:
Console is disabled.
A disabled console may be restored by either cold starting the unit, or from a telnet/ssh
management session.
