5.3.7 LVM2000 WAN Port Configuration

5.3.7.1 Interface Name
The interface name is used to configure the SNMP Mib variable IfAlias in the IfXTable
element of the IF-MIB.
5.3.7.2 State
The state configuration defines the Administrative State of the WAN Serial port. For
normal operation it must be set to UP.
In applications where the WAN link is not used, the state should be set to Down to disable
the alarm processing on the WAN port.
5.3.7.3 TX Timing
The normal operating mode of the LVM2000 is in DTE mode where timing is supplied
externally by the external Modem. For lab testing, a DCE mode is also available.
