OAM
Link OAM Alarm. If OAM is enabled and responses from the peer
device are not received for 3.5seconds the port will declare an OAM
alarm. Once the OAM frames are received again, the alarm will be
cleared. An OAM alarm will be caused by faulty cabling, or by the
peer device not supporting OAM.
CFM
CFM OAM Alarm. In units which offer continuity and fault
management, a CFM alarm indicates loss of continuity messages
with the peer device.
SFPA
SFP Diagnostic Alarm. This alarm indicates that a diagnostic
measurement has exceeded the alarm threshold and the notification
is set to either alarm or alarm&warning.
SFPW
SFP Diagnostic Warning. This alarm indicates that a diagnostic
measurement has exceeded the warning threshold and the
notification is set to alarm&warning.
5.7.4.3 VCG Alarms
The following alarms may be generated on a VCG:
LKDN
Link Down. The VCG is not passing traffic. This may be due to a
mismatch in the encapsulation modes or due to all WAN port
members of the VCG being down.
LLF
Link Loss Forwarding. A port will enter the LLF state only if link loss
forwarding is enabled for the port, and the source port has entered
the alarmed state.
DEG
Degrade. A VCG will indicate the Degrade alarm is at least one VCG
wan link is still operational, but one or more links have failed.
