The VCG statistics are seperated into three sections. The first section, IfIn../IfOut.. are
collected from the MAC port of the mapper device. These statistics do not take account of
frames which are discarded in the mapper due to bandwidth limitations, however in
practice these statistics are accurate enough to calculate bandwidth and utilisation for the
links.
The Mapper In/Out/Error stats are basic packet counts for transport over the WAN link.
The OAM packet counts give counts of the number of OAM (ah) frames passing over the
WAN link.
