5.5.8.1.1.3 Boot S/W Upgrade
Unfortunately it is sometimes necessary to update the boot loader firmware in the WCM
device to enable certain functions. The upgrade to V8.31 is one such version where
changes to the boot loader were necessary.
Please note, the boot firmware update procedure is not failsafe, and as such it is important
that a unit is not powered down, or restarted during the update process.
The Boot S/W update option is selected for performing a boot code update. Following the
Boot S/W update option the warning message below will appear:

TFTP Software Upgrade
CAUTION: Proceding further will mean that the unit must be re-started,
and the performance log may be cleared, even if the upgrade is unsuccessful.
Are you sure you wish to continue?
If you wish to proceed, then confirm Y, and then enter the file name of the boot software to
download:
File name: WCM1100b.820
Whilst the download takes place, the current block received count will increase to indicate
that the download is happening.
Once the file is downloaded
File name: wcm1100b.820
Blocks received: 4216
File received successfully, length 2158436.
File contains:
Unit Description: wcm1100
Software Version: 8.31.[mh].1.216 03/07/2013 15:58:59 unreleased
This will replace:
Unit Description: wcm1100
Software Version: 8.20.[mh].1.221 03/07/2013 16:33:20 unreleased
The software will now be updated.

If the correct file has been downloaded, and you wish to proceed with the update confirm
the prompt with Y. At this point the firmware will be programmed into the non volatile flash
after which point the unit will reboot and reload the updated application.
