SOLENOID VALVES REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the control valve body. (See K2-46
CONTROL VALVE BODY REMOVAL, On-Vehicle
Removal.)
3. Remove the solenoid valve(s).

4. Apply ATF to a new O-ring and install it on the
solenoid valve.
5. Install the solenoid valve in the control valve body.
Tightening torque
7.9— 10.7 N m
{80—110 Kgf cm., 70—95.4 in lbf}

6. Install the control valve body. (See K2-46

7. Add in ATF and, with the engine idling, inspect the
ATF level and inspect for leakage. (See K2-38
AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF)
INSPECTION, ATF Level Inspection.)
8. Carry out the mechanical system test. (See K2-21
MECHANICAL SYSTEM TEST.)
9. Carry out the road test. (See K2-24 ROAD TEST.)
HOLD INDICATOR LIGHT INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the instrument cluster. (See Section T.)
3. Inspect for continuity between terminals 1J and
2H.
• If not as specified, replace the HOLD indicator
light.
