AUX 2 computes a 24-hour schedule of satellite availability for the position
and date you select, and the mode of operation (2D or 3D) the unit is
currently using. Although not as detailed as the schedule that is computed
by the Post-Processing Software, the computed schedule covers the 24 hours
(midnight to midnight of the date selected.
Access AUX 2. The first display shown is
POS. You may use the current position
or a waypoint. To select a waypoint
press the
RIGHT ARROW
or key in all
or part of the waypoint name followed

3D SAT SCHEDULE

NOTE
You may enter any date that is within six months of the age of
the unit's almanac, but the schedule will be more accurate if the
date is within two weeks of the almanac age.

to begin computing. As
the unit calculates the satellite schedule
for a 2D or 3D solution, the time ad-
vances in 15-minute increments.
When the computations are complete,
the unit displays the “window of avail-
ability.” This is when there will be
enough satellites to obtains a position
fix.
