Electrical connection – CML 700i with PROFINET interface
The electrical connection is established in the same way for all devices with PROFINET interface.

Connect the X2A connection on the receiver to the BUS IN connection cable which comes from the con

trol or from another network device.
Where applicable, connect the X2B connection on the receiver to the BUS OUT connection cable which
leads to the BUS IN connection on another network device.
Connect connection X1 with the Y connection and synchronization cable; connect the short end to the
voltage supply or to the configuration software interface and connect the long end to connection X3 on
the transmitter.
7.7.1 Pin assignment – CML 700i with PROFINET interface
X1 pin assignment (logic and power on the receiver and connection to transmitter)
8-pin, M12 connector (A-coded) for connecting to PWR IN/digital IO and transmitter.
NOTICE
Light curtain grounding!
Ground the light curtain before establishing an electrical connection or connecting the voltage supply
(see chapter "Grounding the light curtain housings").
