3. Remove any additional material, such as manuals or cords, from the top of the unit and
set them aside.
4. Remove the packing material on which the power cord was resting.
5. Remove the L-shaped corrugated-cardboard pads from the top of the Service Bypass
Unit.
6. Check the packing material for signs of damage, which could indicate rough handling
during transit. Refer to “Claims Procedures” later in this chapter if you discover any
damage.
7. Carefully remove the Service Bypass Unit.
