2.14.1.

Radiation safety circuits

Two shutter status panels are located on the distant end and two on the
cable end mounted on top of the end supports. These panels continuously
indicate whether the shutters for radioactive and X-ray sources are open
or closed.

Radiation safety circuits work in conjunction with the four radiation light
panels to ensure:

•

Correct indication of the state of the nuclear and/or X-ray
shutters

•

X-ray power ON status

•

Safe operation of the head split mechanism
