6.6.4.2.

Setting the voltage threshold

The Radiation Fault/Protect board compares the analog output of the X-
ray detector to a threshold voltage. Select the threshold by opening pin
shunts on the board. See Table 6-12 for voltage thresholds and the
corresponding shunt configurations.

Whenever the signal exceeds the threshold set (indicating that the X-ray
beam is present), the two radiation lamp contact outputs are set active
(closed). This circuit has hysteresis to prevent chattering. The outputs are
used as redundant radiation indicator drivers.
