PISTON/CYLINDER

INSPECTION
Inspect the piston with regard to cracks or other damage.
Inspect slots in the piston with regard to excessive wear
and formation of deposits of cinder.
Measure the D. E. of piston.
NOTE
Calculate the slack between the piston and the cylinder.
Consider the maximum reading to determine the slack
(Refer to the page 8-4, to obtain information to respect the
Inner diameter cylinder).
Measure the D. I. the opening of accommodation of cotter pin from
the piston in the axles X and Y. Considers the maximum
reading to determine the D. I.
Measure the D. E. of the cotter pin in three points, in accordance
with the illustration.
Calculate the slack between the piston and the cotter pin.
Service Limit 0,07 mm
Service Limit 16,97 mm
Service Limit 17,05 mm
Service Limit 0,23 mm
Service Limit 72,87 mm
Measure external diameter of the piston in a point to 16
mm from the base of the skirt and 90 from the hole in the
cotter pin.
Measure the D. I. the foot of the crank.
Calculate the slack between the crank and the cotter pin from the piston.
Service Limit 0,09 mm
Service Limit 17,06 mm
